Matthew (Matt) Gray was born in Edmonton and moved to Calgary in 2016. He graduated from the University of Alberta’s Campus Saint-Jean in 2015 with a Bachelor of Education and earned his Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Law in April 2024. During his legal studies, Matt volunteered with Student Legal Assistance and Pro Bono Students Canada. He competed in the final round of the 2024 Bastarache Moot, where he argued in French before former Supreme Court Justice Michel Bastarache and was awarded the accolade of best oralist, highlighting his exceptional oral advocacy and persuasive skills.

Matt brings a practical and results-driven approach to family law. Having articled in personal injury law, he understands the challenges of lengthy legal processes. Matt is committed to guiding clients through their matters as efficiently and effectively as possible, striving to achieve resolutions with as minimal stress as possible while ensuring his clients feel supported and informed every step of the way.

In his spare time, Matthew tutors ESL with Ukrainian immigrants and refugees, and enjoys tackling DIY home decor projects, hiking, exploring new languages, and a good board game.
